Kris Statlander returned at AEW Double or Nothing, winning the AEW TBS Championship from Jade Cargill.

She won the title with Friday Night Fever.

Statlander answered an open challenge by Cargill and Mark Sterling after Cargill defeated Taya Valkyrie and was celebrating her 60-0 record. Statlander had been sidelined since September 2022 with a torn ACL.

Before Statlander returned, Cargill successfully retained the AEW TBS Championship against Taya Valkyrie, winning with Jaded. Cargill kicked out of Road to Valhalla during the bout.

Cargill had a special entrance for the event as Big Boss Vette performed "Pretty Girls Walk" as members of the AKA sorority performed a step routine.

This marks the first reign with the AEW TBS Championship for Kris Statlander. Cargill was the only woman to ever hold the title, winning it on the January 5, 2022 episode of AEW Dynamite by defeating Ruby Soho in the tournament finals. Cargill made 25 successful defenses of the belt.
