Kurt Angle Asks If Anyone Has Footage Of His 1999 Dark Match Against Owen Hart
Days before his tragic death on May 23, 1999, Owen Hart competed in a dark match against Kurt Angle.
Footage from the match has yet to be unearthed, but Kurt Angle is hoping that fans might be able to help.
“In 1999 I had the privilege of wrestling the legendary Owen Hart in a dark match in the WWE 5 days before his unfortunate death. Til this day, I haven’t seen any video footage of it. If anyone has ever seen the footage of my match with Owen, message me in the comments below. Someone had to record it,” Angle wrote on social media.

Angle noted that Owen won the match. Angle wrestled a series of dark matches and house show bout before making his television debut at WWE Survivor Series 1999.
WWE Vault has been posting a number of hidden gems in recent months, but put out a statement that they have not found footage of Angle vs. Owen despite a number of requests.
The new holy grail is now upon us.
