Kurt Angle Calls Vince McMahon The Best Wrestler Ever

If an Olympic gold medal wrestler claims that you are the best wrestler in the world, who is going to argue?

Kurt Angle is arguably one of the best wrestlers when it comes to hold-for-hold professional wrestling. He had been in the ring with Shawn Michaels, Chris Benoit, Ric Flair, Brock Lesnar, and many of the other greats in the history of technical wrestling.

So, who would Kurt Angle consider to be the greatest wrestler? Well, speaking on a recent episode of the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast, he revealed that he considers the best wrestler ever to be Vince McMahon.

Speaking obviously of the sports entertainment side of the professional wrestling landscape, Angle credited Vince McMahon's facial expressions and character work as reasons he considers Vince to be the best.

“What you see on TV with Vince [McMahon] isn’t the real Vince. He likes to ham it up a bit and you know, that’s his thing. He’s the best wrestler in history. In other words, when he wrestles, everybody watches. He does these looks with his eyes when he’s going crazy and he’s mad.”

Even though Kurt Angle considers himself to be in great shape, he says he will not wrestle again and won't be going to AEW, despite the urging of Shaq.

“I’m in the best shape of my life, but I’m not going to wrestle. I’m done with that. Shaquille O’Neal just texted me today and said, ‘You need to come to AEW.’ I was like, ‘I’m not going to do that.’ Actually, if I did wrestle again, it would be most likely for WWE, but I’m not going to do that. AEW was always an option, I just never really considered it because I’m retired. I’ve heard the rumors. That’s what they are. They’re just rumors. People like to talk. They like to get excited about things, and, unfortunately, that’s not going to happen.”
