Kurt Angle Says He Lost His Birthday Gift From 'Son' Jason Jordan And WWE Overnighted It To Him

Kurt Angle loves his WWE "son" Jason Jordan and is proud of his accomplishments.

When Kurt Angle returned to WWE in 2017, one of the key storylines he was a part of involved Jason Jordan, a relatively recent call-up from WWE NXT being revealed as Kurt Angle's son. The storyline would see Jason Jordan manipulate his relationship with Kurt Angle in order to get opportunities including a WWE Raw Tag Team Championship run alongside Seth Rollins.

Unfortunately, the storyline could never be completed as planned as Jordan would go down with a career-ending injury. That being said, Jason and Kurt still have a very close relationship on-screen as was shown during Kurt Angle's birthday bash on Friday, December 9, 2022, when Jason Jordan gifted him a photo of himself in his younger years surrounded by a heart made of pasta declaring Kurt Angle to be "#1 Dad."

With such a special gift, Kurt Angle was hoping to keep it with him forever but unfortunately, he lost the gift in the arena that night. Angle's wife, Giovanna was determined to make sure that Kurt could keep the gift as a memento from his "son" and thankfully, WWE was able to get it to him immediately as he explains in the most recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show podcast.

"Well, my son Jason Jordan, my son on TV, gave me a photo of him when he was seven years old, wrestling. It was on TV. He gave it to me," said Kurt. "I wanted to keep it and I actually forgot it at the arena. So my wife was going crazy. Like, 'You gotta get this thing.' I'm like, 'Don't worry about it, it's just a photo of Jason.' She's like, 'We have to track this down. She calls WWE and tells them that they need to track it down and go back to the arena. So, some producer from WWE actually did it and they found the photo and they sent it to us. They overnighted it to us."

Kurt Angle also confirms that Jason helped produce some of the segments that Angle was a part of.

"He did help produce the segment and you know, he came up with some of the ideas. Jason is a really good producer. He's doing really well there. I am so proud of my son," Angle said with a chuckle.

On a previous episode of the podcast, Kurt Angle explained the original idea for the segment which would have involved him originally not going down to the ring for his own birthday celebration. Learn more here.

Kurt Angle also previously shared his thoughts on what he would have rather done alongside Jason Jordan, a reformation of Team Angle with Jason and his American Alpha partner, Chad Gable. Learn more here.
