Kurt Angle Says He's Undergoing A Back Procedure In March

Kurt Angle announces that he will be undergoing a procedure on his back.

WWE Hall of Famer retired from the ring in 2019 after he had successful runs in WWE and TNA/IMPACT Wrestling. He won six world titles during his time with WWE, and he doubled that number during his career with TNA/IMPACT. In the later stages of his career, Angle dealt with health issues; he famously won a gold medal with a broken neck, and he also broke his neck in 2003. These injuries have affected him over the years, and the legend is set to have them addressed in March.

Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Angle stated that he's getting a procedure on his back done on March 21. He noted that he doesn't need fusion, but the doctors are going to clean his back out. Angle also explained that he has pain in his back, and it affects his leg, bu the doctor said he should be "good to go" after the procedure.

"On March 21, I'm having it done, the day after my vacation. All they're doing, they're not going to do any fusion or anything like that, thank God. They're going to clean it out. They're going to clean all the arthritis out because I have a nerve going down my leg, and it's bothered me, and there's pain in my lower back. So they're going to clean all that stuff out, take the bone chips out and the calcium and stuff like that. He said I should be good to go after that. I've had a lot of damage done to my back, but it's not to the point where I need fusion," Angle said.

Angle also noted that, according to the doctor, the procedure won't relieve all of the pain in his back, but it should help with the issue of having pain run down his leg.

Previously, Angle stated that he would never wrestle again after he had both of his knees replaced. Check out his comments here.

Angle appeared on WWE Raw XXX on January 23. There, he became an honorary member of D-Generation X. More information is available here.
