Kurt Angle revealed on the latest episode of his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show, that he got the opportunity to catch up with Hulk Hogan backstage at the event. Angle says they mostly talked about their health, and Hogan revealed that he had another back surgery, and now, Kurt Angle says "The Hulkster" can't feel his lower body after having some nerves cut.

"Hogan had his back surgery again. He had the nerves cut from his lower body. He can't feel his lower body. So let's use his cane to walk around. I thought he was using the cane because he had pain in his back. He doesn't have any pain. He has nothing at all. He can't feel anything. So now he can't feel his legs. So he has to walk with a cane which is, you know, that's pretty serious, man. I mean, I really feel for Hogan. He put his heart and soul into the business and ate him up," said Kurt. "I mean, if you're gonna kick off the show, the 30th anniversary of Raw, [it] should be Hulk Hogan. He's the name and face of the company. He's the guy that revolutionized pro wrestling. I have so much respect for him."

Hulk Hogan only appeared once on the January 23 episode of Monday Night Raw, opening the show alongside Jimmy Hart. After that, Kurt Angle was involved in a segment with DX and Imperium. He would later go on to be the referee of a match pitting Imperium against Seth Rollins & The Street Profits.

One legend who did not appear on the show is Mick Foley. Instead, Foley opted to watch the show at home with his family. Learn more about why that is at this link.
