Kurt Angle Staying With WWE Post-WrestleMania 35, Says He'll Be Working In A Backstage Role

The Olympic Gold medalist is not going anywhere.

WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle is gearing up to have his last match in World Wrestling Entertainment today as he will meet former United States Champion Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35. Fans, Angle himself and Angle's wife Giovanna have openly expressed either a positive or negative response to Baron Corbin being announced as Kurt Angle's final opponent but Angle has come to the defense of the match and stated that from a storyline perspective, a match against Baron Corbin makes the most sense.

Kurt Angle was a part of the media scrum for WWE stars during WrestleMania week and he chatted with Sky Sports. During the interview, he was asked about his post-WrestleMania plans and Angle shared that he signed a contract to help the younger talent backstage and is hoping to be a manager or assume the role of General Manager once again.

“Yeah I signed a contract to help the younger talent, behind the scenes. Not with NXT. I’ll be on the road with the guys that make it up here." He said. "That and probably be an on-camera talent like a manager or maybe General Manager again, I don’t know, but I’m sure they’ll want to utilize me a little bit on camera but other than that I’m gonna help the young guys out."
