Kurt Angle Would Like To See Bobby Lashley Wrestle Brock Lesnar

Kurt Angle says Bobby Lashley is capable of great matches.

In an interview with USA Today, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle said he had no idea former Impact Wrestling roster member and mixed-martial-artist Bobby Lashley would be returning to WWE which happened last Monday. Angle said Lashley is bringing a lot to the table in his WWE return.

"Bobby was a guy that was overlooked years back. He came into his own at Impact Wrestling. He proved that he’s an incredible sports entertainer," said Angle. "He wanted to be a sports entertainer. He didn't necessarily want to be a fighter, but he had to fight to make some great money. So he did what he had to do to provide for his family by being in Bellator. Not that he didn't enjoy it, but he had more of a love for sports entertainment than he did MMA," he continued.

As General Manager, Angle is glad to see Lashley on Raw because he has first hand experience seeing his great matches.

"I’m glad he’s on Raw. I wrestled him many times. I beat him for the world title, he beat me. We had some great matches, and I know he’s capable of doing it. I think one of the matches I’d really be intrigued to see is him versus Brock," said Angle.

This week's Raw and Smackdown will feature the Superstar Shakeup. So there is a chance Angle will lose Lashley to Smackdown as wrestlers are moved between brands. Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage and a recapping podcast for both nights of the Superstar Shakeup.
