Kushida Announced For Ring Of Honor Television Taping

Kushida will join Ring of Honor for some television episodes.

On September 28th, Ring of Honor will be in Las Vegas for the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view which already has a ten-person tag team match scheduled between Bullet Club and Chaos and an appearance by Jushin Liger has been advertised.

The night after the pay-per-view, another NJPW star in KUSHIDA will be at the Ring of Honor television tapings taking place at the same venue. The following is an excerpt from the ROHWrestling.com press release.

KUSHIDA, one of the top junior heavyweights in the world, makes his return to Ring of Honor at the Death Before Dishonor TV Taping in Las Vegas on Sept.29.

While New Japan Pro-Wrestling is KUSHIDA?s home promotion, he also has made his presence felt in ROH in recent years. The five-time former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and two-time winner of the prestigious Best of the Super Juniors tournament held the ROH World Television Title for more than four months last year after winning it from Marty Scurll, and he came up just short against then-ROH World Champion Cody at Global Wars in October.

At the Best in the World pay-per-view this past June, KUSHIDA pushed Jay Lethal to the limit before ultimately losing to the man who would go on to win the ROH World Title the following night. KUSHIDA immediately got back in the win column before returning to Japan by defeating Jonathan Gresham on a recent episode of ?Ring of Honor Wrestling.?

Fightful Wrestling will have coverage and results for Death Before Dishonor and the tapings. The promotion is discussed at Fightful Select on the Fightful Weekender podcast.
