Kyle Fletcher Challenges NJPW To Send Their Best To Face Him At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

Kyle Fletcher and Don Callis are ready for the best that New Japan Pro-Wrestling has to offer.

After defeating Tomohiro Ishii to retain his AEW TNT Title on the August 9 episode of AEW Saturday Collision, Kyle Fletcher issued a challenge to the rest of NJPW. He stated that he wants the company to send their best to challenge him for the title at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. He put himself over as a legend killer of sorts, touting victories over Adam Cole, Dustin Rhodes, and now, Ishii.

Don Callis followed up that promo with a backstage segment of his own. Callis was sporting an NJPW necktie, which he said he was gifted for helping NJPW several years ago. He now wants Kyle Fletcher’s next challenger to step up on the upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite. He also stated that once Kyle finishes with his next opponent, he’s going to choke that person out with the necktie he was given.

One individual from NJPW announced to be working the upcoming pay-per-view, Hiroshi Tanahashi. This event will host his final match in the UK.
