Kyle Fletcher Didn’t Require Surgery For Injuries, Not Cleared For In-Ring Return

Kyle Fletcher made his return to television at AEW Double or Nothing, attacking Konosuke Takeshita and laying him out with a brainbuster.

Fletcher had been sidelined since March 28, when he suffered an injury on AEW Collision.

On his latest vlog, Fletcher revealed that he suffered a torn meniscus, fractured tibia, and fractured ankle.

The good news is that the injuries didn’t require surgery.

“I don’t have to have surgery. Awesome news. It was a 90% chance of surgery. [The injuries] require just healing. That’s my job. My job now is to rest in Chicago,” he said.

After eight weeks of rehab, Fletcher got clearance to return to AEW, but hasn’t been cleared for an in-ring return.

“My PT [Physical therapist] pretty much gave me the all clear. We had a last session, but that doesn’t technically mean I’m cleared to return to the ring, but now I can go back to work and start the process of the AEW doctors clearing me to get back in the ring, which is what we’ve been waiting for,” he said.

It is unknown when Fletcher will be cleared for an in-ring return.
