Kyle Fletcher doesn’t think that his current character is too far off what he imagined it would be as a kid dreaming of being a wrestler.
Fletcher is one of the top wrestlers under the age of 30 in the world of professional wrestling, and continues to grow as a performer in All Elite Wrestling. Now, he has spoken about his current character.
While speaking to Westwood One Sports Night in a new interview, Kyle Fletcher was asked if his wrestling character is what he imagined it would be as a kid.
“That’s actually a very interesting question. I don’t think it’s too far… off what I pictured when I was a kid, just because, I think the person that I am, and I think about this quite a lot, I think the person that I am today, not just in wrestling, but in general, is an accumulation of all the things that I loved as a kid growing up, an accumulation of- I looked at just people and wrestlers in whatever I loved, tattoos. I loved collecting Pokemon cards. I loved, music. I loved wrestling and I look at myself and I go, ‘oh, that’s pretty much everything that I am.’ I loved dressing nice. I loved pink, and it’s like, everything is, everything makes sense. You know, I’m just the same, the same person, just a larger version, I guess. So yeah, I can’t say it’s too far away from what I pictured because if you gave 10-year-old Kyle SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 or whatever, I’d probably create exactly what you see in front of me in Create-A-Wrestler.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Fletcher spoke about watching every match he wrestles back. You can read more about that here.
