Kyle Fletcher Explains Why He Aligned Himself With Don Callis In AEW
Kyle Fletcher explains why he chose to work with Don Callis.
On August 30, Kyle Fletcher will be defending his AEW International Championship against Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada at AEW All In. Fletcher and Okada are currently part of The Don Callis Family in All Elite Wrestling, whereas Takeshita left the group back in May.
Speaking with Shirleigh of Fightful before the event, Fletcher explained why he aligned himself with Callis.
“To me, you look at Don Callis, and you look at his track record. When Kenny Omega was under his tutelage, he was the AEW World Champion. When Will Ospreay was under his tutelage, he beat Kenny Omega. He has the track record. He’s built stars, and he’s been around the wrestling business for longer than I’ve been alive. So that is wisdom that you don’t find everywhere. As you can see, since joining the Don Callis family, I have blossomed. Literally, my outfit is blossoming. Up until this point, he’s done me no wrong. He’s done great things for me. I have no reason not to trust him.”
