Kyle Fletcher wants championship gold.
After getting off to a hot start in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament, 'The Protostar' was seemingly headed for an AEW World Championship match at AEW All In Texas.
Instead, Fletcher ended up falling to 'Hangman' Adam Page in the semi-final round of the tournament. Now, his path to All In Texas is unclear.
In a new interview with Good Karma Wrestling, Fletcher stated that he's now focused on other championships in AEW, specifically signaling out Kenny Omega's International Championship.
“I need the accolades to back that up, so I think championship gold is definitely the way I’m looking. There are a couple of nice shiny belts that I like the look of, namely, maybe the International Championship held by one of the greatest of all time, Kenny Omega. I think he is well past his prime, I think I am the new generation’s Kenny Omega, that best bout machine. So, I would love to do that in a big big stadium.”
Fletcher also expressed a bit of internet in challenging Adam Cole for the TNT Championship.
