On last Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite, Fletcher would return to the ring as part of a multi-man tag team bout between Team MJF and Team Mark Briscoe, marking his return to in ring action following his recent leg injury.
While speaking in his latest Protolog, Kyle Fletcher spoke about his return to the ring, noting that while it was good to be back, he doesn’t feel like he is back at the top of his game yet.
“This is probably the quickest we’ve done a debrief like post-show. I feel like normally it’s like into the evening. I’ve had time to decompress. This is raw. I’m still sweating. Still got my bottle of piss in my hands. That means we’re fresh. Anyway, first match in the books. I’m officially a professional wrestler again. Oh boy, and does it feel so good. It is so hot here in Houston and I already have a little bit of a cold going on from all the travel I’ve been doing. I’m out of breath. I’m sweaty. I’m out of ring shape, but I feel alive. I feel alive. Everything feels right in the world again. Just glad that first one’s out of the way. The first one’s the hardest one. Didn’t feel like I was at the top of my game yet. I gotta get those reps in first. It was very good to be back.”
Tony Schiavone spoke Fletcher’s potential as a future star in the world of pro wrestling. You can read more about that here.
