Kyle O'Reilly Becomes Longest Reigning NXT Tag Team Champion

Big milestone for Kyle O'Reilly.

This past week, Kyle O'Reilly became the longest reigning NXT Tag Team Champion in company history, surpassing both members of the Ascension. As of this writing, O'Reilly has held one half of the Tag Team Titles for 368 combined days. The Ascension held the straps for 364 days.

O'Reilly is still behind the Ascension as far as "recognized" days go. On television, O'Reilly has held the title for just 326 days while the Ascension were champions for 344 days.

The Undisputed ERA member is in the middle of his second title reign. He first won the titles with Bobby Fish on the December 20, 2017 (taped on Nov. 29) episode of NXT. Fish suffered a torn ACL and MCL and was replaced as one-half of the champions first by Adam Cole and then Roderick Strong.

Strong and O'Reilly lost the titles to Moustache Mountain on June 26 (taped on June 19) at the NXT UK tapings, but regained the titles on July 11 (taped on June 21) on NXT television.
