Kyle O’Reilly Makes Jon Moxley Submit In A Pile Of Broken Glass To Win Men’s Blood & Guts Match

Kyle O’Reilly makes history in Greensboro.
Once the cage was lowered, the Men’s Blood & Guts match “kicked off” with Darby Allin and Wheeler Yuta. The match spilled to the outside after Yuta refused to enter the cage. Yuta beat down Allin before entering the cage. Of course, Allin attempted to follow, but Yuta kicked the cage door in his face.
Allin gained some momentum back after taking out Yuta with a Coffin Drop from the cage wall. Allin used his thumbtack skateboard on Yuta as Orange Cassidy entered the match to a major reaction. Cassidy snapped his own sunglasses just to drive them into Yuta’s skull. Allin and Cassidy controlled the match in dominant fashion before Daniel Garcia entered the fray.
Garcia immediately went after Allin, delivering blows to his neck area. Garcia ended up holding down Allin and Cassidy as Yuta delivered some blows. Garcia and Yuta then took out Cassidy with a chain-assisted lariat as the match went to commercial break.
Mark Briscoe’s music hit, but he did not show. Cameras cut backstage to Renee Paquette, who showed a recently-attacked Briscoe in pain. Roderick Strong stepped up and entered, taking out Yuta with a cutter. Strong grabbed a chair before Claudio Castagnoli entered the match.
Castagnoli and Strong went to battle immediately, but Castagnoli sent him head-first into a chair that was wedged in the corner. Castagnoli proceeded to throw Allin across both rings as the Death Riders maintained a solid lead over their opponents.
Kyle O’Reilly was out next, as he was able to fight off the Death Riders one-by-one. O’Reilly attempted to take out Castagnoli with a guillotine submission, but was unsuccessful. Yuta took out Allin with a piledriver on a chair as the show went to a commercial break.
Castagnoli tossed Cassidy into the cage wall as Jon Moxley entered the contest with a fork. Moxley immediately stabbed O’Reilly’s head multiple times. Then, he carved up Strong’s forehead before scraping the fork across Allin’s back. Moxley went back to the outside and grabbed a couple of leftover items from the Women’s Blood & Guts match.
Renee Paquette came over the speaker and broke some news, revealing that Mark Briscoe will likely not be taking part in the match after being attacked by the Don Callis Family. The assault continued, with Garcia spiking Allin on a pile of broken glass. After another commercial break, Allin somehow was able to drop himself onto a group of Death Riders from the cage roof.
PAC entered the match and the bell rang. The cage doors were locked shut, signaling that Briscoe had no chance of making it to the bout. PAC took out Strong with a snap german suplex. Suddenly, Briscoe emerged from the backstage area with a toolbox and a steel chair. Briscoe cut the lock and immediately took out Yuta, Castagnoli, and PAC.
Briscoe and Yuta spilled back to the outside, allowing Briscoe to set up a chair. Garcia also came to the ringside area, but Briscoe set up on the table and climbed to the top of the cage. Garcia rolled out of the way at the last second, preventing Briscoe from jumping. Yuta also climbed to the top of the cage. Briscoe used a pulley system to pull a pile of chairs up to the cage. Yuta and Briscoe proceeded to engage in a chair duel on the top of the cage.
After the show’s final commercial break, Mark Briscoe planted Yuta with a Jay Driller on top of the cage. Briscoe climbed down as part of the match spilled to the outside once again. Gabe Kidd appeared out of nowhere and took Allin to the top of the ramp. PAC followed him.
On the inside of the ring, Moxley stapled Cassidy’s hands inside of his pockets. Kidd proceeded to set a pair of tables on fire. PAC took advantage of the situation, dropping Allin right into the flames. Moxley wrapped a chain in O’Reilly’s mouth before applying a bulldog choke. O’Reilly gave him the middle finger. Cassidy and Strong suddenly came back to life and fought off Moxley and Castagnoli as Briscoe suplexed Yuta through a table on the outside.
In the finishing sequence, O’Reilly locked Moxley in an ankle lock while he was standing above a pile of broken glass. Moxley reversed the hold but O’Reilly eventually returned to his ankle lock, this time on the mat. Moxley eventually submitted, slamming his hand in the broken glass.
