This was O’Reilly first match since AEW Full Gear when he defeated Jon Moxley in a No Holds Barred match. He was announced as injured after the match, taking him out of the Continental Classic. In December, he revealed he was dealing with a bulging disc in his neck and an arm fracture.
This is the first reign as AEW Trios titles for O’Reilly, Strong, & Cassidy. The Dogs held the titles for four days and made zero successful title defenses.
