LA Knight Pays Tribute To Bray Wyatt On 8/25 WWE SmackDown

On August 24, the wrestling world sadly lost Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda).

Wyatt was signed to WWE at the time of his passing, though he had not been on television since prior to WrestleMania 39 due to health issues. Throughout his career, Wyatt introduced the WWE Universe to many character and personas including the cult leader, the Eater of Worlds, and new Face of Fear, and The Fiend.

In his final match on WWE TV, Wyatt defeated LA Knight in a Mountain Dew Pitch Black match that featured Uncle Howdy jumping off a stage and crashing onto Knight.

On the August 25 episode of WWE SmackDown, LA Knight paid tribute to Wyatt.

Knight said that "sometimes your greatest foes can be your greatest helpers" and that Wyatt was getting him ready for everything. Knight said he was holding himself together until he saw the pictures of Wyatt with his family.

Knight said he could feel the spirit of Bray on WWE SmackDown and gave a "Thank you, Bray."

He turned his attention to The Miz, but after speaking about The Miz, he closed his promo by saying, "A wise man once told me. The next time you see me...run."
