LA Knight: Pitch Black, Mountain Dew Pitch Black, I Don’t Know What It Means Or What It Is

LA Knight doesn't know what a Pitch Black Match is, whether Mountain Dew is involved or not; he shares his thoughts on the stipualtion.

Knight has been feuding with Bray Wyatt for several weeks; they first crossed paths shortly after Wyatt returned to the company at WWE Extreme Rules. Knight has slapped Wyatt in the face, and the former NXT star has been mysteriously attacked by someone wearing an Uncle Howdy mask multiple times. He continue to blame Wyatt, even though Uncle Howdy recently revealed that he and Bray are two different people. On the December 30 episode of WWE SmackDown, WWE announced that Knight and Wyatt will face off in a Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match at WWE Royal Rumble.

Speaking on the January 4 episode of WWE's The Bump, Knight discussed his feud with Wyatt, and he brought up the Lights Out Match. He admitted that he didn't know what it was, but that won't matter at the end of the day. Knight claimed that he is the master of mind games, and Wyatt is going to learn that the hard way at Royal Rumble.

"I’m feeling pretty damn good, and I’ll tell you why. You look at that mental midget, look at the breakdown he’s having. He can’t even keep his own goons in order. He brings out his own uncle boy, Captain Howdy, and this guy still turns on his own guy, drops him like a bad habit. Everybody’s like, ‘How’s LA Knight? Is he okay?’ Yeah. I’m alright. I’m doing okay. Because as far as I can tell, Pitch Black, Mountain Dew Pitch Black at the Royal Rumble, I don’t even know what that means. I don’t even know what that is. But at the end of the day, does it really make a difference? No, and I’ll tell you why. Because I’m gonna walk in there, master of the mind games. Everybody thought that Bray Wyatt was the master of mind games. No, that’s this guy. Now, Bray Wyatt can’t even count on his own goons. So Royal Rumble, it’s gonna be special," Knight said.

When asked whether he has any information regarding the rules for a Lights Out Match, or what the bout will entail, Knight made it clear that he has been kept in the dark. However, he stated that, whether it's in daylight or darkness, he's going to put Wyatt down

“Well, no pun intended, I’ve been kept in the dark, and who knows if that’s by design? I don’t know. But pitch black, I think as the weeks go by, hopefully we get an idea what that’s gonna be. But I can tell you this, with all of the malice, all of the feelings that I’ve had built up, just from the fact that you’re gonna abduct me and tie me up in some goofy basement or something like that, I got a lot to get out of my system. So whether it’s pitch black, daylight, I will off his on switch no matter which way we go," Knight said.

Later in the interview, Knight repeated that he didn't know what Pitch Black Match is, but everyone will find out at WWE Royal Rumble.
