La Luchadora's Identity Revealed After SmackDown Live Main Event

The saga of La Luchadora is finally over with a huge surprise.

Former WWE Women's Champion Mickie James revealed to be La Luchadora when she interfered in the SmackDown Live main event match between Becky Lynch and SmackDown Women's Champion in a steel cage. James interfered which allowed Bliss to hit her finisher on Lynch and win the match. James then attacked Lynch after the match was done, and Lynch briefly got the better of the exchange, unmasking her.

La Luchadora had been a thorn upon Lynch's side for weeks after Lynch herself masqueraded as the character.

The last time James appeared on WWE was when she challenged NXT Women's Champion Asuka at NXT TakeOver: Toronto last November. James lost that match, but it was soon rumored that she would be making her return to the main roster on SmackDown. She was rumored to be backstage at tonight's episode of SmackDown Live.

James was a five-time WWE Women's Champion and a former Divas Champion. She wrestled for WWE from 2005-2010 and then wrestled for TNA from 2010-2013 where she was a three-time TNA Knockouts Champion. She very briefly returned to TNA in 2015 before signing on with Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling promotion, where she challenged for the company's Women's Championship.
