LaBron Kozone Discusses Signing With MLW, Reflects On WWE Tryout
Kozone got signed a few months after his tryout.
In early March, Major League Wrestling announced that they’ve inked a multi-year contract with 14-year wrestler LaBron Kozone.
Kozone was prominently featured in the DEADLOCK Pro-Wrestling promotion that is no longer in operation. He’s also competed for DEFY and GCW, and he’s made two appearances for AEW.
Kozone, now under contract, spoke to TheSportster about putting pen to paper with MLW.
“I mean, one, it’s a privilege to be part of MLW and you know, it’s been a very long journey. It’s been a great journey. Lot of different opportunities that (I’m) grateful to receive and a lot of great people I’ve met along the years which brought me to where I am right now so, I’m here to make the most out of it.”
Several months before signing with MLW, Kazone partook in a WWE tryout. He reflected on that.
“(WWE) tryout, one, that was also a privilege. I did not expect to be there. At the time where I received the news, that was a shock to me but, I went, it’s a good time. Learned a lot. Got to see a lot of people that I’ve known throughout the years that are either employed in the company or was trying out as well with me. Shout out to everybody that did that tryout with me. I got to attend with two other of my students, which was really cool. It was a very good experience. I wish that every aspiring wrestler that’s taken this career serious gets to experience that, at least once in their lifetime. So much to take. It’s hard for me to narrow it down to one but, I had an overall good experience with that tryout.”
Kazone made his MLW in-ring debut at a Fusion taping in March. The next Fusion taping is on May 9th in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
