Lacey Evans Believes A Second 'WWE Evolution' Event Should Happen And Spotlight Moms In Wrestling

Lacey Evans is all in on the idea of a second WWE Evolution event spotlighting women.

Lacey Evans stands for women's rights so much that the name of her finishing maneuver is the Woman's Right. Lacey was fortunate enough to join WWE during the boom period of the Women's Evolution, a time that saw women truly take the spotlight in WWE. Now, ideas like a women's Royal Rumble, a women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and women headlining WrestleMania are all normalized and expected occurrences.

In 2018, WWE held its first, and so far, only, all-women pay-per-view event, WWE Evolution. Since then, many fans have continued to ask for a second event and over the years, several wrestlers have all chimed in as to whether or not the event will take place and why they think it should.

Speaking on The Ten Count with NBC Sports Boston, Lacey Evans revealed why she thinks the event should occur a second time. Taking pride in being a mother, Lacey says it's important for women like herself, The Bella Twins, Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, Tamina Snuka, and more to show little girls that moms can do it all.

“I think it's always necessary. Why not? What would be the hurt of it? I don't think there'd be any hurt of it,” she said. “I think that all the moms out there now that are especially wrestling — You've got Ronda Rousey, you’ve got Becky Lynch, you’ve got The Bellas, you’ve got Lacey Evans, you've got Bianca Belair, you've got Tamina, you've got all these badass women that are now how about let's do another one and have all our babies ringside watching their mamas. Then, behind that, have all the girls in the world that want to be sports entertainers behind the babies.

"That dream of, not becoming pro wrestlers, but just having freakin' careers and having to juggle what we juggle and the fact that we get to show the world what mommies are capable of, that we can still chase our dreams and these careers, and be badass wives, and moms and, and work hard is cool," she added. "So I'm down for any time we can highlight the strengths of a woman. Let's do it, especially with having two girls myself.”

Up next for Lacey Evans, she will try to become the sixth Ms. Money in the Bank in WWE history. Fans can check out the full card for Money in the Bank at this link.
