Although NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley has her hands full with a title defense against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania, William Regal is looking to crown a new No. 1 contender.
During tonight’s episode of NXT, Regal announced that a number of qualifying matches starting on the March 4 episode of NXT will take place where the winners will advance to a ladder match at NXT TakeOver: Tampa. The winner of that ladder match will become the new No. 1 contender to the title.

Flair is at Full Sail to have her first match on NXT in years on the show when she takes on Bianca Belair. Ripley, on the other hand, is coming off a title defense against Belair at TakeOver: Portland. NXT TakeOver: Tampa will take place on April 4 at the Amalie Arena.
