Lady Frost Isn’t Bitter About Her AEW Run, ‘It Was A Really Good Chapter For Me’
Lady Frost wants to stay busy.
Frost made news at the tail end of March, as she announced her departure from AEW and her impending free agency. MLW quickly swooped in and signed Frost to a deal just hours later.
Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Frost spoke about her contract history with AEW.
“We had just started filming Ring of Honor in Florida, in Orlando, doing the tapings and I was getting per appearance, but I was actually getting flown in so I wasn’t a true extra at the time. It was 2022, I believe, I was signed to the full one year per appearance deal. That was an AEW contract. As far as I know, I don’t think they have Ring of Honor contracts. So I went from working one year per appearance and then they signed me to a full-time two year, three year option contract after that, which was straight AEW contract.”
Frost went on and said that she doesn’t like to sit back and collect a paycheck. Despite things not working out, the eight-year veteran also insisted that she is not bitter about her time in AEW.
“I did a couple of AEW matches, they kind of bounced me around. There was really never any direction, but again, very thankful for my time there. I did have a good time there. Obviously no one wants to sit. I mean, some people might like to sit in catering or at home getting paid. I don’t, I like to work. I would rather be in the ring doing what I love. It was almost four years that I was there. The first year, like I said, not under contract, three years under contract. But I don’t even know if a lot of people knew I was signed. I didn’t get a graphic. I’m not bitter or anything. It really was a good chapter for me, but I’m excited for the next one.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Lady Frost talked about her decision to sign with MLW. Fans can check out her full comments by clicking here.
