Layla Reflects On Her Reflects On WWE Singles Debut: I Was So Inexperienced But I Learned In Real Time

Former WWE Diva Search winner Layla El reflects on her WWE debut.

On the December 1st, 2006 episode of WWE SmackDown!, Layla would make her singles WWE debut as she took on Kristal in a one on one match on the show following her winning WWE’s Diva Search competition in 2006. Layla would go on to have a successful career in WWE up until she walked away from the company in 2015 after holding both the Divas title and Women’s Championship in the company.

In a new social media post, Layla reflected on her debut, remarking that she was ‘so inexperienced’ but that she ‘learned in real time’. Layla also credited Kristal for the matchup before noting that one day she would ‘share everything’ regarding her

I still remember this like it was yesterday — the fear, the shock, the adrenaline.
I was so inexperienced, but I learned in real time with the fans who voted for me and gave me this opportunity.
And Kristal was incredible that night… supportive, kind, and patient with me.
