Lena Kross Details ‘Very Busy Week’ With TNA & AEW Appearances

Kross feels those experiences will lead to bigger opportunities.

On July 24th, TNA Wrestling held a set of television tapings and also taped their Xplosion show. Making her in-ring debut for the promotion at the Xplosion taping was independent talent Lena Kross.

The following week, Kross made her way to AEW and had a quick singles match against Kris Statlander on Collision. While participating in a virtual signing for Captain’s Corner, Kross spoke about those opportunities and, on the TNA front, shared that it was Tommy Dreamer who presented her with the opportunity.

“Thank you for having me (on the virtual signing). I am super excited. Like you said, it’s been a very busy week. TNA, AEW, live TV debut… Big week, big week.

Very busy week. All kind of just happened quite quickly. So last week was TNA tapings in Rhode Island. I got invited to do the Xplosion tapings on the Thursday, because I did two nights. So I was night one on a Thursday. I tagged with Rosemary against Harley Hudson and Myla Grace. Fantastic experience. First time obviously working with TNA, first time working with all those girls. The locker room was really great. They have a lot of Aussies there. I don’t know if anyone saw the Instagram photo of the six of us, but there was myself, The IInspiration, Indi Hartwell and Steph De Lander — that’s five — I can’t count. That’s only five. The five of us. Locker room was fantastic. I was really happy with the match. I haven’t watched it back yet. If you have, let me know what you think. The opportunity that I could showcase myself on that platform, Tommy Dreamer gave that to me which I’m very thankful for. Working with Jazz as well as a producer was a nice, little full-circle moment. Obviously, watching as a fan, to sort of being able to work with these people is great, and then, this week, I went to Chicago for AEW and had my live TV debut on Collision against Kris Statlander and again, given a short amount of time to sort of show out and give that first impression. But, I think I’m confident in what I was able to do and what I was able to show the world and I’m very confident in saying that it’s only the beginning, because now that I think I’ve set the example of what I can do on that platform, opportunities are just gonna keep coming… And in this business, it only takes one thing, and your life can change.”

While at TNA, she connected with fellow Aussies The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessica McKay). Kross recalled wrestling Lee during a World Series Wrestling tour in Australia. Her first time meeting McKay was at the TNA tapings.

“So, they (Cassie Lee & Jessica McKay) had already been signed before I started wrestling. So, I didn’t meet them until very recently actually so, I met Cassie first back in — I could be wrong but I think it was 2023 on a World Series Wrestling tour in Australia. They came over; her, Shawn Spears. Met them on that tour and I was lucky enough to be able to work with them. I did a mixed tag with Matt Cardona against Cassie and Shawn Spears, which was a lot of fun. I think it’s up on YouTube. If you haven’t watched it, go give it a watch. It was sort of like a bit of a blow-off match of the tour. Fantastic, really connected. Again, Cassie and Jess have also been sort of trailblazers following on from Tenille (Dashwood) for women from Australia. So, they’ve definitely set a pathway for us to follow and opened so many doors and then, I’ve recently met Jess this year. First, at Mania and then again at TNA when I did the tapings last week. Both lovely, both really, really supportive. I think that’s one thing about the Aussie women. We’re all really supportive of each other because there’s not that many of us and because we are so far away from everything, one person’s win is also everyone’s win because it draws in eyes on all of us. So yeah, The IInspiration are exactly who they are. They are an absolute IInspiration.”

Elsewhere during the signing, Kross gave some background on herself and stated that one of the things that got her back into wrestling was WWE’s Total Divas reality show.

“But it was actually Total Divas that brought me back in; the reality TV show, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, wrestling,’ and that just reignited my passion for it, when I was a little bit older, around 18, 19?”

There’s a report about Lena Kross on the Fightful Select Patreon service from Corey Brennan. Brennan noted that Kross has been in talks with TNA for months, and the process of getting her signed is in motion.
