Leon Slater: I Feel Like It’s Only A Matter Of Time Before Mike Santana And I Are Clashing Heads
Leon Slater wants to wrestle Mike Santana.
As most fans know, Slater and Santana have been teaming on a regular basis as of late, facing teams like The Nemeths and The System.
As it turns out, Slater wants to share the ring with Mike Santana in a singles match.
“Now that I’m thinking about it, there is one guy and it is very possible and it’s very very possible it could happen this year. That guy is Mike Santana.” Slater told Battleground in a new interview. “I think me and Mike have been the two best guys that TNA has to offer. I’ll throw Mustafa Ali in there as well and Nic Nemeth and we obviously have all these other great guys, but especially the last six months, especially since I’ve had the X-Division Championship, Mike Santana has been the guy for TNA. I’ve personally been chasing him to be the guy in TNA, I feel like it’s only a matter of time until we’re clashing heads whether that’s for my title or whether that’s for his title. I feel like for me, that’s a match that has to happen this year so we can see the best that TNA really has.”
Fans have long speculated that Slater could exercise ‘Option C’, where he would forfeit his X-Division Championship to recieve a shot at the TNA World Championship.
