Leon Slater On NXT Title Challenge Vs Oba Femi: To Be One Of Those Key Points For Such A Talent Like Oba Femi Is Super Cool For Sure

Leon Slater comments on his recent NXT title challenge against Oba Femi where Femi would end his time in WWE NXT.

On the January 6th edition of WWE NXT, Slater would take on Oba Femi for the NXT Championship in a singles bout between the two men which ended in Femi retaining his title despite Slater pushing him to his limit. In the aftermath of the bout, Oba would leave the NXT Championship in the ring, with it later being confirmed that he had vacated the title.

While speaking to Joey Karni in a new interview, Leon Slater reflected on the bout, noting that being one of the key points for talent like Oba Femi was ‘super cool’ for sure.

“I think it’s no secret he is a very, very special talent and I think he’s going to be a legend in the coming years and he’s going to be a big player in the WWE, so for me to have that kind of spotlight match against him where if you go back and look at Oba Femi’s run you’ll have the first match, the match where he won the North American Title, you’ll have the match where he won the NXT Title, and you’ll have his last match. To be on one of those key points for such a talent like Oba Femi is super cool for sure.”
