Lil Yachty Opens Up About Temporarily Losing Vision In Left Eye: “I Literally Thought I Was Gonna Be Blind Forever”

Lil Yachty opens up about his health scare.
Songwriter, rapper, producer, and current WWE talent Lil Yachty sat down with Complex for an interview before his concert performance.
Yachty revealed that he had a health scare and lost 80 percent of the vision in his left eye. He stated that he’s fine now.
“I was sick for the last two weeks to be honest. I hadn’t did sh*t. I was in lockdown. I just got back right.” Yachty was asked to follow up on that, and he said, “Yeah, but not like coughing sick. I had a whole other sickness that I don’t even wanna talk about. I was down bad. I actually thought I was gonna die. But I almost did. I went blind in my left eye. Yeah, 80 percent. It was bad. I could not see at all.” He continued, “Scared the sh*t out of me. I literally thought I was gonna be blind forever. That type of sh*t… make you so grateful. All the sh*t we take for granted, like our eyesight, and you be like, ‘Oh my God bruh, I never knew.’ We get older in life and things become so minuscule to us… Majority of us have been blessed to have it our entire lives, and then it just becomes so minuscule. It is something to have your eyesight.” Yachty added, “I’m fine.” He continued, “I couldn’t see anyone. I was in a lockdown. I was just in a dark room alone.”
Yachty was last on WWE TV on the 9/11 Friday Night SmackDown, where he was attacked by Baron Corbin, who was feuding with Yachty and Trick Williams at the time.
