Lio Rush makes history.
On Wednesday's MLW Fusion, Lio Rush defeated Laredo Kid to capture the AAA Cruiserweight Champion. The two men clashed in an Interpromotional bout with Lio's MLW Middleweight Championship also on the line.
Lio picked up the victory with his signature Final Hour frog splash. The match lasted 10 minutes and 25 seconds.
This marks Lio's first reign as AAA Cruiserweight Champion. Laredo Kid held the title since February 16, 2019 when he defeated Sammy Guevara at AAA Conquista Total. Lio has held the MLW Middleweight Championship since January 6, 2021 when he defeated Myron Reed at MLW Kings of Colosseum.
