Lio Rush gains gold.
Lio Rush captured the IMPACT X-Division Championship at IMPACT Slammiversary, defeating Chris Sabin.
Rush jumped Sabin before the bell, gaining an immediate advantage on the champion. Sabin made the decision to continue the bout, but Rush gave Sabin no chance to rest and made quick work of Sabin once the bell rang. Lio hit two Final Hours to become the new champion.

This marks Lio's first reign as the X Division Champion. Sabin won the title at IMPACT Against All Odds on June 9. He made two successful title defenses.
