Lita Recalls Pushing For Jazz To Be Signed By WWE
Lita remembered Jazz looking out for her in ECW.
One of the championship matches at WrestleMania 18 saw Jazz defend the WWE Women’s Championship against Trish Stratus and Lita in a Triple Threat match.
Lita commented on that bout and her relationship with Jazz while speaking to the Toronto Sun. Lita revealed that she pushed for Jazz to be signed by WWE.
“I was really close with Jazz as well. The two people I was closest with in the ring (at WrestleMania 18) for that match was really special. Jazz really looked out for me. I really bonded with her for the time that we were in ECW and it took a while but I really, really pushed and wanted her to be part of the locker room in WWE as well and to see them utilize her to her strengths that she had in the ring… She’s not very tall in stature but she’s so powerful, and to be able to get that to come across in her character to have the three of our dynamics to be the three very different wrestlers out there.”
