Lita Wants Evolution & Mae Young Classic Shows To Return

Lita wonders as to why the all-female Evolution show is not a reoccurring event.

During the interview with Women's Wrestling Weekly, Lita spoke about the Mae Young Classic and the Evolution shows being absent from WWE's 2019 schedule. Lita said she would love both shows to happen and is a bit perplexed as to why there hasn't been a second Evolution pay-per-view.

“Dude why isn’t it back? Let me work on that...So, Mae Young felt like it got so much positive feedback. Evolution was sold out...Granted you can’t look on your own timeline for how people feel because they are like, ‘You’re so great!’....But from what I got everyone responded positively to it. Even financially it was sold out. I don’t understand why there is not another Evolution or why it didn’t make the regular pay-per-view cut was really shocking to me,” Lita said.

Lita also spoke about wrestling companies, including WWE, holding shows in empty arenas and with no live audience. While admitting that wrestling shows in that manner are weird but for events such as the Hall of Fame, holding them in a closed set could still be done well. It should be noted that the interview came before WWE announced that the Hall of Fame ceremony, originally planned for April 2, is no longer happening as scheduled.

“So, I think wrestling with no crowd is super weird. I think they could still do a cool, classy, Hall of Fame thing in a closed set that could still feel like you did it justice...let’s just say, Hall of Fame could still happen,” Lita said.
