Lita praises WWE's women's division.
Throughout her career, Lita established herself as a trailblazer. Alongside other legends like Trish Stratus she paved the way for future generations by pushing the envelope of women's wrestling in WWE. The four-time WWE Women's Champion returned to WWE on the February 6, 2023 episode of WWE Raw and aligned with Becky Lynch. Thanks to some assistance from Trish Stratus, Lita and Lynch defeated Dakota Kai and IYO SKY to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. Lita, Lynch, and Stratus then beat Bayley, Kai, and SKY at WWE WrestleMania 39. Stratus subsequently turned on both Lynch and Lita, and the latter hasn't been seen on WWE TV ever since.
Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Lita shared her thoughts on WWE's current women's division and noted that the competitors are fearless. She stated that they aim to exceed expectations, and she emphasized that she likes their fearless energy.
“They’re fearless in a way that they don’t know there were boundaries and limitations placed on them subconsciously. They have fostered an environment where they meet every challenge and exceed expectations every single time. I love that fearless energy and how infectious it is in the locker room," Lita said.
Lita's WWE return allowed her to mix it up with some of today's top stars, including Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, and Bayley. But it also let her add another chapter to her lengthy rivalry with Trish Stratus. The WWE Hall of Famer reflected on her previous work with her fellow legend and noted that they had good chemistry from the start.
“We both recognized that we had something the first day we met. We just had a really nice chemistry and got along so well. In our first rivalry, with Team Xtreme and T&A [Test and Albert] and doing those six-man tags, we knew right away that we had something special," Lita said.
