Liv Morgan: I Cannot Express How Upsetting & Disappointing It Was To Miss WWE SummerSlam In My Hometown

Liv Morgan looks back at missing the 2025 SummerSlam.

Liv Morgan returned to WWE programming at the 2025 Survivor Series Premium Live Event. She had been out since the summer due to a shoulder injury that required surgery.

The injury caused Morgan to miss the 2025 SummerSlam Premium Live Event in her home state of New Jersey. While speaking to Fox News Digital to promote SummerSlam 2026, Morgan spoke about how upsetting and disappointing it was to miss the event.

“Honestly, I cannot even express to you how upset and disappointing it was to miss SummerSlam in my hometown… But yeah, I was very excited to show up in SummerSlam in pretty much my hometown. Unfortunately, I missed out. So, this year, I’m going to more than make up for it.”

Morgan is the current WWE Women’s World Champion. With an assist from Judgment Day, Morgan defeated Stephanie Vaquer at WrestleMania 42 to capture the title.
