The finish saw Dominik Mysterio get involved, sliding a chair to Becky Lynch as both women were down and the referee was checking on Liv. Dominik then jumped on the apron, to distract the referee. Liv ended up hitting a DDT on Lynch onto the chair followed by ObLivion for the victory.

During the Kickoff show, Dominik confronted Liv backstage and said he would be around to ensure Liv did not win the title. Liv injured Rhea Ripley in April, forcing Ripley to vacate the championship.

This marks the second reign as WWE Women's World Champion (formerly WWE SmackDown Women's Championship) for Liv Morgan. Lynch held the title for 33 days and made zero successful title defenses.

In a backstage segment later in the night, Lynch said she would like to execute her rematch clause for Monday's WWE Raw.
