Lizzy Rain Credits Pretty Deadly For Recommending Wrestling School To Train At When She Began In-Ring Career

The former Rayne Leverkusen credited Pretty Deadly.

Fresh off of making her NXT TV in-ring debut, Lizzy Rayne a.k.a. Rayne Leverkusen joined Bully Ray for a recording of Busted Open After Dark.

Looking back at Rain’s start in the wrestling business, she remembers seeing Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) on NXT U.K. and hearing their regional accents. She realized they were from the same place in England. She messaged them, and they directed her to a wrestling school.

“NXT U.K. was a thing and that kind of gave me the hope (that I could get to WWE), but I heard Pretty Deadly speaking, and I heard their accents and I was like, ‘Oh! I know that accent. That’s my accent. They must wrestle around me. They must have trained around me’ so, I messaged one of them and they got back to me and said, ‘There’s a training school 20 minutes away from ya’ and I was like, ‘Oh! Okay, maybe this can become a thing.’”

Rain scored a win over Nikkita Lyons in her TV debut. Fightful’s review of the 4/28 NXT can be found here.
