A number-one contender’s match took place on the August 22nd Lucha Libre AAA on FOX. It was a four-way tag team bout to determine who would be challenging the War Raiders for the AAA World Tag Team Championship at Ola de Calor on August 30th.

Competing in the bout were the following teams:

The bout concluded with Los Americanos getting the victory over Wilde to secure their title shot.
