Lucha Underground Producer Chris DeJoseph Believes The Show Is Dead

The latest on season five of Lucha Underground.

Responding to a fan on Twitter, co-executive producer of Lucha Underground Chris DeJoseph stated that he believes the show is dead, although he hopes that's not the case. Season 4 of the show finished airing on Nov. 7, 2018 and there has been no talk of when, or if, the show would return for season 5. DeJoseph went on to say that if fans want the show to return, they should do demand it, hoping the El Rey producers will listen.

Many wrestlers, including Joey Ryan, Ivelisse and Kobra Moon, recently filed a class action lawsuit against the company in order to get out of their contracts. Lucha Underground Champion Jake Hager (fka Jack Swagger in WWE) told Fightful in January that he has heard "crickets" in regards to season 5 of the show.
