Lucha Underground Wrestler Killed Off In Season 1, Just Getting His Release Now

If you watch Lucha Underground, do you remember Bael?

He was one third of "The Crew," a group of Latino hooligans who sold their services to the highest bidder, and midway through season one, Bael was eaten by the monster brother of the Spanish Billionaire who runs the fighting promotion.

Veer Released By WWE

Lucha Underground is weird, man.

The most important part of that description is "midway through season one."

We are currently "midway through season three."

You can watch his gruesome demise at the beginning of the highlights video at the top of the page. That episode aired on May 27, 2015.

They haven't used B-Boy, the wrestler who played Bael, since his character was killed off via cannibalism. But because he originally signed a seven-year contract, he's just had to wait around until 2021 or whenever.

Until now.

Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that B-Boy has asked for his release and it has been granted. The best part is that since the company hasn't used his services for over 90 days (WELL over 90 days), he's free to work elsewhere immediately.

B-Boy has commented: “You never know where I will pop up. And trust me when I say this … it could be somewhere with honor, could be a global situation. All I know now is nothing is holding me back anymore.”

Congratulations on your new-found freedom, B-Boy.
