Luke Hawx To Play Steve Austin On 'Young Rock'

Luke Hawx lands a big role.

The upcoming episode of 'Young Rock,' which premieres Tuesday on NBC, will feature The Rock making his way backstage and through the WWE locker room in 1996. Rock took to Instagram to post various still photos from the episode, which features Rock shaking hands and meeting the likes of Steve Austin, Triple H, Mick Foley, and The Undertaker.

The role of Steve Austin is played by independent wrestler Luke Hawx. Hawx has previously worked with The Rock on The Fate of the Furious and is the wrestling coordinator for "Heels" on Starz.

Hawx wrote on his Facebook, "The correct words for this is HELL YEAH! I've kept this secret for a good while now but I'm so happy to announce that I have joined the cast of NBC's Young Rock as the greatest wrestling superstar of all-time Steve Austin! My debut episode comes out this Tuesday night and I am thrilled to be a part of NBC's #1 Comedy."

Hawx has been a regular in the NWA over the past year.
