Lyra Valkyria gets her chance to become immortal on the first night of NXT Halloween Havoc 2023.
On the October 3 episode of NXT, Lyra Valkyria defeated former NXT Women's Champions Roxanne Perez and Indi Hartwell to earn the right to face Becky Lynch on October 24, the first night of NXT Halloween Havoc.
Valkyria had some help as interference from Kiana James prevented Roxanne from winning the match, but Becky Lynch, who was providing some help on commentary, stepped in to prevent Kiana from interfering any further and Valkyria pinned Monday Night Raw Superstar to earn the right to challenge Becky Lynch.
That being said, Tegan Nox also made an appearance on NXT tonight, coming down during a face-off between Valkyria and Lynch to make sure that she's not forgotten about. Nox will get her opportunity to dethrone Becky Lynch and capture the NXT Women's Championship on the October 9 episode of Monday Night Raw. She was supposed to challenge Becky on October 2 but Lynch was not medically cleared.

Earlier in the night on October 3, Valkyria excitedly challenged Lynch, letting her know that Lynch was a major inspiration for Valkyria to one day make it to NXT.
