Lyra Valkyria recalls being a European fan of WWE and still wanting to watch shows live.

For a European wrestling fan, WWE events begin in the early hours of the morning, usually lasting until between 3am and 5am. For former WWE superfan Lyra Valkyria, this became a part of her weekly life, even when she had to be up in three hours after the shows ended.

While speaking to Beyond The Match in a new interview, Lyra, along with Bayley, was asked about being on Netflix and what it’s like to be more recognizable back home in Ireland.

“Oh, my god. Yeah, I have, like, countless memories of trying to sit up, stay awake, staying awake for RAW, it was so normal to me, like, trying to stay up for the pay-per-view and, like, then, the main event would happen and you’re so excited for it, but at the same time you’re like, ‘oh, my god, I’m up in three hours,’ that I want to finish it. Now It’s a whole new era. It’s a whole new game. We got more viewers than ever. It’s just such an exciting time to be a part of WWE. So I’ve got more friends texting me than ever ‘oh my God, I saw you on Netflix.’ It’s just been great.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Bayley spoke about becoming a WWE locker room leader. You can read more about that here.
