At WWE Backlash, John Cena would announce the upcoming John Cena classic where main roster and WWE NXT talent will meet in one on one action, with fans voting out of all the participants, win or lose, to decide the winner of the showcase event.
While speaking to Soundsphere Magazine, Lyra Valkyria spoke about the John Cena Classic, noting that it could be ‘anyone’s chance’ to make themselves the next big thing.
“When I watched Cena announce this upcoming tournament, I was like, wow, if I was still in NXT, I would have been… you know, like, such an exciting time. Especially with all the talent, like you just said in NXT, you know, I feel like it just could be anyone’s chance to really make themselves the next big thing. So I’m really excited for this tournament, and to see who’s going to, like, stand out, and who’s going to step up. To get to be a part of it as well, that would be very cool.”
Elsewhere in another recent interview, Lyra spoke about Christian Cage and Randy Orton’s 2010s feud and how it influenced her to get into wrestling. You can read more about that here.
