‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage Biopic In Development, Kenan Thompson To Produce

The cream of the crop is coming to the big screen.

On Tuesday, September 23, Deadline issued an exclusive, revealing that a film biopic for ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage is in development. Artists For Artists, a production company led by Kenan Thompson and Johnny Ryan Jr, is behind the project,

The film will follow a script that was penned by Lanny Poffo and Eric Sharpio. As many fans will know, Poffo, who passed away in 2023, was the younger brother of Randy Savage.

Alongside Thompson and Ryan Jr, Paul Coy Allen, Jonathon Davino, Cory Litwin, Boris Shvarts, and Monica Weber will all serve as executive producers of the film.

As of publish time, there is no news on the cast or director of the movie, which is set to be titled ‘Macho’.

In his statement to Deadline about the project, Kenan Thompson seemed quite enthusiastic about bring Savage’s story to the big screen.

“Beyond excited for this one!! Macho Man is hands down one of the greatest of all time and can’t wait to bring his story to the screen!!!”
