Madison Rayne Announces Her Retirement

Madison Rayne has announced her retirement.
Rayne competed on the January 1st episode of ROH TV, teaming with Deonna Purrazzo in a loss to Billie Starkz & Diamante.
In a backstage segment, Rayne said that it was the end of an era for her. “I know it was coming. This time comes in everyone’s career.” She said she lost a piece of herself when she lost her dad, but she is refinding herself as a coach in AEW and ROH.
Rayne said that teaming with Purrazzo was a perfect way to end her 20-year career.

Rayne made her debut in 2005 as Lexi Lane.
She is a former five-time TNA Women’s Knockout Champion and three-time TNA Women’s Knockout Tag Team Champion. She competed in TNA, ROH, and AEW during her career. She was also part of the 2018 Mae Young Classic.
Rayne signed with AEW as a coach and wrestler in August 2022.
