Mads Krule Krügger On Chamber Of Horrors Legacy: “We’re Creating Moments”
Mads Krule Krügger speaks on Chamber of Horrors and his fondness for the 1991 WCW match.
He will next defend the championship at MLW Slaughterhouse in a Chamber of Horrors Match. He will face CW Anderson, Mr. Thomas, Matthew Justice, and two more mystery opponents in a 6-Way Scramble. The origins of the match’s name stem from the 1991 WCW Halloween Havoc event, where two teams of legends, comprising the likes of Sting, Scott Hall, Mick Foley, the Steiner Brothers, and others, competed in a match where the loser had to be electrocuted.
Speaking to Jeremy Lambert and SP3 on Fightful Overbooked’s In The Weeds, Mads Krule Krügger admitted he is a fan of the original match. Still, fans shouldn’t expect anyone to be sitting in an electric chair, as was the case in the 1991 affair.
“Of course I love that match. I don’t know if we’ll see any electric chairs or anything, but maybe. Time will tell. It’s pro wrestling. Sometimes things work, sometimes they don’t. We’re still talking about that match how many years later? Whether good or bad, there is a memory. It was a thing that happened. That’s what you’re always trying to create. We’re trying to create moments and I know we’ll do something here that will hopefully be a memorable moment.”
