Main Event Set For NWA When Our Shadows Fall, Chris Adonis Gives Up NWA National Title

Nick Aldis finally has a challenger.

On Tuesday's NWA Powerrr, Trevor Murdoch became the top contender for the NWA World Heavyweight Title by winning a 15-man battle royale.

The bout was originally announced as a 14-man battle royale, but Chris Adonis, who relinquished the NWA National Title, entered as the 15th man. Champions were not allowed to enter the battle royale, but Adonis, who is part of Strictly Business, "took one of the team" to ensure Murdoch would not win.

The plan did not work as Murdoch eliminated Thom Latimer and Adonis to win the battle royale. Murdoch will face Aldis for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title in the main event of When Our Shadows Fall on June 6.

Murdoch was sent home for 30 days on the April 27 episode of NWA Powerrr as a result of Team Aldis (JR Kratos, Thom Latimer, Chris Adonis) defeated Team Murdoch (Trevor Murdoch, Aron Stevens, Tim Storm) in a six-man tag.
