Maki Itoh: Even If WWE Gave Me An Offer, I Would Not Accept; I Will Stay Beside AEW

Hello motherfuckers.

Maki Itoh made an immediate impact in AEW when she competed in the AEW Women's World Title Eliminator Tournament in 2021. Fans were quickly drawn to Itoh and she was brought to America for AEW Revolution 2021 and the Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament.

Given her popularity, Steve Fall of WrestlingNewsCo asked if she ever received an offer from WWE.

"No, nothing. The reason she became this popular is thanks to AEW. Whatever happens, even if WWE gives her a cheeky offer from nowhere, she would not accept it and she would stay right beside AEW all the way," Itoh said via her translator.

Itoh competed on the November 28 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation, teaming with Emi Sakura in a loss to Nyla Rose & Marina Shafir.

When asked what her goals are for 2023, Itoh replied (via her translator), "In Japan, she wants to get a title belt, obviously. She feels maybe a tag team title belt would be really nice, just about now. Where for America, she wants to go back to being on AEW television again. As you know, there is only so much time available on American TV and you can't really leave much of an impact due to how much time you get to be on TV. She definitely wants to leave a big enough impact to where everyone will remember the name of Maki Itoh."

It is unknown when Itoh will return to AEW television.

Itoh is active in Tokyo Joshi Pro and returned to GCW in November to face Masha Slamovich.
